Volkswagen Diesel Oil Changes

If you own a TDI from Volkswagen, you should definitely do the oil change yourself and save some bucks.  At Bommarito, the oil change and tire rotation for every 10,000 miles is $100 before tax.  Currently, only dealers have the Castrol SLX 5w-30 LL03 that is necessary for the TDI's, however the oil is only about $9 per liter.  If you get 5 that's only about $45.  Add in an oil filter for about $10 and you're saving almost 40%.  I would also suggest doing the 40k mile check up yourself as well considering it is $600 without tax.  It mostly consists of changing the oil, putting in new oil, air and engine filters, putting in some diesel injector conditioners, and a tire rotation.
